I design & develop games at the
University of Utah.
My specialties and experience as a designer are in technical design and combat design, including core combat mechanics, enemy behavior and AI, animation pipelines and implementation, making balanced gameplay loops out of interesting mechanics, and more. I enjoy approaching game design with the goal of making gripping experiences by managing user interaction and finding the fun through constraints.
Gameplay Design

Coding & Technical Work
I have experience working across all areas of Unreal Engine, like UI programming, vector math, action scripting, animation blueprints, etc. I also have experience working with the Unity engine and languages like C#, C++, Python (and more through my Computer Engineering degree). Often times I've switched between my role as a designer and programmer according to the needs of the project.

Level, System Design & More
I have always enjoyed learning about many aspects of game design that ultimately contribute to the experience. I have taken classes to work on my level design skills, I've done system design projects and I'm exploring more aspects of game design from many available sources. I aspire to be the kind of designer who has a grasp on all aspects of game design.
